Celebrate International Women’s Day during Women’s History Month

During Women’s History Month, let’s celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD)! IWD honors the advancement of the women’s rights movement while also serving as a reminder of the challenges we still face around gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. 

Here are seven things to do in honor of IWD:

  1. Celebrate the awesome women in your life
  2. Show your support on social media (#BreakTheBias)
  3. Involve everyone in the conversation and celebration, regardless of gender
  4. Highlight women in your industry
  5. Advocate for gender equality in your workplace and community
  6. Support women-owned businesses
  7. Donate to charity.

World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts – Link to Donate / Support

World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest international youth movement dedicated to girls and young women, supporting over 10 million girls across 152 countries and is an IWD Charity of Choice since 2007.

Womankind Worldwide supports women’s rights organizations and movements to secure equal rights for women and girls so they can live without fear of violence, have a say in decisions that impact them, and control their own life.
